OpenNow ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the OpenNow mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Location data: Your device's precise GPS location to show shops near you. Location is only accessed while the app is in use.
Phone number: Used for account creation and login via OTP verification.
Profile information: Display name and profile photo (optional) that you provide.
Shop information (vendors): Shop name, category, address, photos, and operating hours that vendors provide.
Device identifiers: Anonymous device ID for analytics and push notification delivery.
Usage data: App interactions such as searches, shop views, and favourites, used to improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

To show you shops that are currently open near your location
To send push notifications when your saved shops go live
To allow vendors to manage their shop presence and reach nearby customers
To improve app features and user experience through aggregated analytics
To prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:

Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, cloud storage, and push notifications.
Razorpay: Payment processing for vendor subscriptions and customer Prime. Razorpay may collect payment card details and billing information directly. We do not store card numbers on our servers. See Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
Other users: Vendor shop information (name, photos, location) is visible to all app users. Customer profiles are not publicly visible.
Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect rights and safety.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. Inactive sessions older than 30 days are automatically deleted. Status posts expire automatically after 24 hours. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us.

5. Location Data

Location is used only to find shops near you and is never stored on our servers. We request location permission only when you open the app and use it only while the app is in the foreground.

6. Children's Privacy

OpenNow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase Authentication for secure login, and Firebase Security Rules to restrict data access. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Opt out of push notifications via your device settings

9. Account and Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. To do so, email us at support@opennow.in with the subject "Delete My Account". We will process your request and delete your data within 7 business days.

Note: Some data may be retained for a limited period as required by applicable law (e.g., payment transaction records).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of OpenNow after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
